My Car Accident Pt. 3

Well as you all already know, I was in a car accident, just over a month ago. I went to the doctors a couple of weeks ago and was told that I didn’t need surgery, which was good. Now we’re today, the third party insurance company I’ve been working with for the health coverage portion has been the absolute worse. They contacted me about two weeks ago, just a few days ago I received a letter stating that I needed to call a Sr. Medical Claims Representative through the Company of Broadspire, so I did. Not to my surprise, I went straight to a voicemail.

I gave it a couple of days and tried to call again, and yet again, I got voicemail. What the hell right? Well this has been my life for the last month with this third party insurance crap. It was phone tag with the first part, which was the totaling of my vehicle, but finally it’s in my part of the field. I have to sign quite a bit of paper work still, but afterwards, it shouldn’t be to long at all before the car portion of this whole fiasco has been completed.

The place I’m having trouble with now, is Broadspire, the medical insurance claims company. Today, I called them five times, once to the person I’m suppose to call, no answer, just voicemail. Second time was to another person that I needed to contact to see if they could give me info on why the first person didn’t answer, voicemail again. I don’t know if I’m just unlucky or what, but it seems every damn representative I get, goes on vacation. They don’t even pass on the case to someone who’s available to take over while they’re gone, they basically say; “Screw you, you’re my client, and you have to wait for me.”

In my opinion that’s the wrong attitude, I wonder if the get commission or something from finishing claim cases. Regardless, I finally called Broadspire main HQ, the customer service rep answered there, and gave me another number, the number to the man in charge of the individual that was suppose to take care of my case. Guess what? You guessed it, they didn’t answer either! Finally I called the first person that I was working with that gave me the application to fill out and send back to them, and again, they didn’t answer. See my frustration? Every single person that’s suppose to be working on my medical claim aren’t doing their job, which makes me very unhappy, and I’m sure many others, who are working with them too, are very unhappy.

Broadspire is crap, to put it bluntly. I can say, I won’t Uber anymore after all this, I may switch to Lyft, because the company Uber uses for insurance is the slowest moving group of third party insurance agencies I’ve ever seen. If this was my insurance company, I would’ve been done a while ago. I’m sorry if this rant isn’t normally what I write up, but I needed to vent. It’s frustrating when you have large medical bills coming in and not enough to cover any of it because your personal injury isn’t under you own insurance but someone else’s.

Let me know in the comments below, any of you have to deal with anything like this? Where you’re waiting weeks to hear back from third party companies on something you had put in weeks ago?
