My Car Accident Pt. 1

I had gotten into a car accident on December 20, 2018. It wasn’t a horrible one but wasn’t very great either. I was Ubering when it happened. I’m very grateful that nobody got seriously injured and all got away with a few bruises. Me, on the other hand, wasn’t as lucky but still lucky, thank God! (And my lucky dragon on my dash! Hahaha!)

My car the night of the accident.

I had broken my clavicle. It didn’t hurt at first but, we all know that when that adrenaline stops working you start to feel the aftershock. I was originally not going to go to the hospital but when my brother called, he convinced me otherwise. Good thing too because I found out there just what had happened to my arm.

Well it’s been almost two weeks now as I stated above, and my arm is feeling rather well. I still can’t do a whole lot with it, and I still have to lay on my back at night, but I’m able to do a lot more than the first night. They say it takes four to eight weeks for a clavicle to heal, I’m hoping it’ll heal sooner rather than later. I have an appointment with the orthopedic today in a couple of hours actually.

Other than that my fellow readers, I don’t have anything else to say. I’ll let you know when the orthopedic appointment has been completed on what the outcome is for surgery or not.

Thank you all for listening! Have any of you had a broken clavicle or a broken bone? How’d you get through it? Let me know in the comments!
